About this file
This is Bid Addendum 2 issued by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Construction Services for a structural and seismic repair project at 395 West Main Street in Waterbury, Connecticut under solicitation BI-2B-455. The addendum, dated July 14, 2026, modifies and clarifies the original contract documents issued on May 20, 2026, and follows Addendum 1 issued on June 29, 2026. The original bid due date remains July 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EDT. The addendum addresses Request for Information (RFI) #1 regarding site visit accessibility and contractor communication procedures. A non-mandatory informal site visit is available for bidders to investigate site conditions; interested parties must coordinate scheduling directly with DAS. All bidder questions must be submitted via email to the consulting Architect/Engineer, Conlon Engineering LLC (chris@conlonengineering.com), with copies sent to the DAS/CS Project Manager, Shane Henry (shane.henry@ct.gov). Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of all addenda on the Bid Proposal Form (Section 00 41 00), with failure to do so resulting in bid disqualification.
No pricing information, set-asides, incumbents, or contract term details are specified in this addendum. The document serves solely as a clarification and modification instrument to the original contract documents and emphasizes that all communication must occur through designated email channels rather than direct phone or verbal contact with the site.
