About this file
This document is a bid packet for Bid #4136GM issued by The School Board of Marion County, Florida for Alarm System Monitoring services. The term contract seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive 24/7 monitoring for 279 total alarm panels across 111 monitored accounts at over 62 locations, including 215 intrusion detection panels, 64 fire alarm panels, and 15 elevator systems. The bid response is due May 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with board approval scheduled for June 24, 2025, and an initial contract term from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The solicitation requires bidders to have at least three years of electronic security experience, necessary licenses and insurance, and the technical capability to manage alarm systems through web-based and smartphone applications.
The bid packet outlines specific requirements for pricing, including costs for monitoring, system conversion, repairs, and additional services. Vendors must maintain a drug-free workplace, provide proof of relevant certifications, and comply with background screening requirements. The School Board reserves the right to terminate the contract within 30 days for non-performance, and the successful bidder must provide monthly activity reports and have the expertise to program various alarm panel types including Interlogix, GE NX8E, Vista 20, Napco, Silent Knight, and Notifier systems. While no specific budget range is disclosed, the comprehensive scope suggests a significant annual investment in security monitoring services. The procurement allows for potential contract renewal for three additional one-year periods by mutual agreement, with payment terms set at net thirty (30) days.
