The project encompasses routine finish mowing, trimming, weeding, edging, and litter pickup at 28 specific properties including community centers, parks, boat ramps, trailheads, and roadway medians throughout Beverly Hills, Lecanto, Inverness, and Floral City. Attendance at one of two mandatory pre-bid conferences is required—scheduled for December 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. or December 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Grounds Maintenance Conference Room in Lecanto. The deadline for submitting questions is December 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., with bids due by December 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. through the OpenGov Procurement portal. The contract term is two years with three optional one-year renewal periods, subject to satisfactory performance and fund availability.

The County has appropriated approximately $31,500 for these services and reserves the right to adjust this amount based on funding availability. Contractors must have a minimum of two years' commercial mowing experience, commercial-grade equipment preapproved by the county, and active Sunbiz registration. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability with $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate limits, automobile liability of $1,000,000 combined single limit, and workers' compensation compliant with state law. A local business preference of up to 5% may be applied if the cost differential does not exceed $10,000. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies, with payment issued within 45 days of invoice submission. Daily cut reports and monthly itemized invoices detailing work completed at each location are required. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for each geographic area.
