About this file
The document is a Build America, Buy America (BABA) Certification Form from the City of Fort Myers Procurement Services. The form requires contractors to use iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials produced in the United States, in compliance with the Build America, Buy America requirement established by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act passed on November 15, 2021. Contractors must verify the domestic sourcing of materials, provide documentation for compliance, and be prepared to submit waiver documentation as needed for federally funded projects involving construction, alteration, maintenance, or repairs.
The certification form mandates that contractors acknowledge and certify their understanding of the BABA provisions, which apply to the entire project, including subcontracted portions. Contractors must attest to identifying domestic sources of BABA-covered products and providing necessary verification. The form warns that false statements may result in rejection or termination of any award or contract. The document includes a reference to the White House website for more detailed information about BABA requirements and provides a signature section for contractors to complete, including fields for company details, contact information, and formal acknowledgment.
