About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) response from the Portland Air National Guard regarding exterior work for Building 145 RQS (Reconnaissance Squadron), dated 8/26/25. The RFI addresses two specific contractor inquiries about the project's scope and requirements. The first question concerns the handling of surface-mounted conduit and lighting during exterior work, with the response indicating that contractors should leave these elements in place unless they interfere with warranty provisions. In such cases, the contractor is responsible for removing and reinstalling the affected components.

The second inquiry relates to insufficient roof square footage information for conducting a takeoff for the exterior paint scope. The responding party has addressed this by providing exterior elevation drawings for Building 145. No specific pricing, funding details, or additional project parameters are included in this brief RFI response document.

Portland Air National Guard RFI Responses

B145 RQS Exterior

8/26/25

1. Does the surface conduit and lightning need to be pulled prior to exterior work and reinstalled after work is done or just leave in place and work around it? Contractor to leave surface mounted conduit and lighting, unless the conduit and lighting prevent the contractor or manufacturer from providing warranty. If the warranty is hindered in any way, the contractor is responsible for removing items and reinstalling.

2. There was a reference to the roof sf yet this would be insufficient to conduct a take-off for the exterior paint scope. Can you please provide the record drawings for Building 145? We have provided exterior elevation drawings.
