About this file

This document is a specifications sheet for mobile weather stations issued by the Bureau of Indian Affairs Southwestern Regional Office, Division of Natural Resources, Water Resources & Irrigation, dated June 18, 2026.

The specification requires a research-grade mobile weather station comparable to the Campbell ET107, featuring a mounting tripod up to 10 feet in height and equipped with precipitation/rain gauge, temperature gauge, humidity sensor, wind speed and direction gauge, and solar radiation sensor. The system must include a data logger capable of automatically calculating evapotranspiration using the Penman-Monteith method, along with all required mounting, calibration, and power kits. The data logger must meet Campbell CR1000M or similar specifications, including a processor with CPU drive of 50 MB serial flash or greater, 16 single-ended or 8 differential analog input channels, data storage capacity of 50 MB or greater, program execution period of 100 ms to 1 day, and timing accuracy of ±3 minutes per year or greater. The tipping bucket rain gauge must comply with Texas Electronics TE525-5m or similar standards, with closure time of 135 ms or faster and bounce settling time of 0.75 ms or lower. Additional sensor requirements include solar radiation sensor (Campbell CS305-ET or similar) with spectral range of 300-1100 nm and measurement range of 0 to 2000 W/m², humidity and temperature sensors (Campbell HMP60-ETS or similar) with temperature range of -40 to 60°C and humidity accuracy of ±3-5%, and wind speed and direction gauge (Campbell MW 034B-ET) with range of 0 to 75 m/s and directional accuracy of ±5° or better. All sensors must be compatible with the data logger and mounting tripod with complete mounting kits and power sources included.
