About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a boiler upgrade project for the U.S. Geological Survey's Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC) in Columbia, Missouri. The project scope requires removing and replacing the existing infrastructure in the Administration Building (A3), including two non-condensing 1,000,000 BTU/Hr. boilers, a 200-gallon storage tank, and a 1/6 hp circulating pump with new, more efficient equipment. The new system must include modulating, condensing boilers with a minimum 97% Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE), appropriately sized recirculation pump and storage tank, and supporting controls with BACnet capabilities.

The contract specifies a 60-day performance period from Notice-to-Proceed, with work to be conducted during the CERC's normal business hours (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday). The contractor will be responsible for providing operational and maintenance training to CERC maintenance staff and will offer a 12-month warranty on all equipment. Additional requirements include coordinating utility power disruptions, complying with electrical codes, producing necessary drawings, and ensuring minimal interference with ongoing facility operations. The project aims to improve the building's energy efficiency and replace aging heating infrastructure.
