About this file

This document is a Shipping Directions/Purchase Description for a federal lumber procurement. The vendor must deliver hardwood lumber components with no assembly required, meeting strict specifications and delivery requirements. The contract involves five Contract Line Items (CLINs 0001-0005) for the delivery of 91,000 total units of hardwood lumber in various dimensions by April 6, 2026. Specifically, CLIN 0001 requires 52,000 units of 1x6x48 lumber; CLIN 0002 requires 13,000 units of 1x4x48; CLIN 0003 requires 13,000 units of 1x8x40; CLIN 0004 requires 6,500 units of 1x4x40; and CLIN 0005 requires 6,500 units of 4x3x48. The vendor is permitted a tolerance of +10% overage and –0% underage on deliveries, with the provision that if any CLIN exceeds the requested amount, all other CLINs must deliver the same overage percentage to ensure equal delivery quantities.

The lumber must be new, untreated, sound grade hardwood from Group IV species (Beech, Birch, Hackberry, Hard Maple, Hickory, Oak, Pecan, Rock Elm, or White Ash), conforming to ASTM d6199-07 (2012) Table 1. All pieces must feature square edges, no open defects, no bark, no decay, and must be planed or smooth on one side. All five CLINs must ship together in a single delivery—no partial shipments of individual CLINs are permitted—and must contain enough material to manufacture a minimum of 420 pallets per shipment. Non-conforming lumber will be rejected at the vendor's cost, and a Certificate of Conformance is required upon delivery.
