About this file
This document is a specification sheet for the Pearce Ferry Takeout Ramp project under the National Park Service Lake solicitation. The specifications detail the requirements for extending an existing boat ramp facility at Pearce Ferry, a takeout location within Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The document establishes technical and construction standards for the ramp extension work, including dimensional requirements, material specifications, and structural design criteria necessary to accommodate watercraft launching and retrieval operations. Key specifications address ramp dimensions, slope requirements, surface materials, drainage provisions, and structural integrity standards that contractors must meet to ensure the ramp functions properly under varying water level conditions typical of the lake environment. The specifications also reference safety and accessibility considerations relevant to public recreation facilities managed by the National Park Service.

Archaeological resources are found above and below ground and underwater. The contractor shall appoint an archaeological monitor during all ground-disturbing activities in archaeological sensitive areas. If the monitor discovers resources, the contractor shall stop work or relocate work to a non-sensitive area and contact the Contracting Officer and COR immediately. Archaeological sensitive areas and resources typically found in the park or at the project site will be discussed further at the preconstruction meeting.

a. Contracting Officer or COR reserves the right to withhold action on a submittal requiring coordination with other submittals until related submittals are received.
B. Submittal List: A submittal list has been attached to the end of this Specification Section. The intent is to provide an overall summary of submittal requirements and not a comprehensive list. The requirements of the individual Specification Sections, terms and conditions of the Contract still apply regardless of what is shown on the submittal list.
C. Processing Time: Allow enough time for submittal review, including time for re-submittals, as follows. Time for review shall commence on Contracting Officer’s receipt of submittal.
