ELMA 306704 01 11 00 - 2
1. Government will arrange and pay for delivery of Government-furnished items according to Contractor's Construction Schedule.
2. Contractor is responsible for initial inspection, receiving, unloading, and handling Government-furnished items at Project site.
3. Government will inspect delivered items for damage after delivery. Contractor shall be present for and assist in Government's inspection.
4. Government will arrange for replacement if Government-furnished items are damaged, defective, or missing.
5. Contractor is responsible for protecting Government-furnished items from damage during storage and handling, including damage from exposure to the elements.

General: Contractor shall have limited use of site for construction operations. Limit use of premises to areas of disturbance within the limits of work indicated on drawings. Do not disturb portions of Project site beyond areas in which the Work is indicated.
1. Limits: Confine constructions operations to the area of disturbance shown on the plans.
Storage of Materials in Staging Area: Confine storage of materials to within staging area as identified on plans.
1. All plant material to remain in place in staging area. Contractor to provide matting and/or Mirafi S1600 Geotextile fabric or approved equal to protect against compaction and/or rutting of soil within the entire staging area as drawn on the plans.

Preservation of Natural Features:
1. The park has several species of venomous snakes in the area, all are species of rattlesnakes.
It is unlikely that anyone should encounter one during the construction project; however, disturbing the rattlesnake shall be avoided. If necessary, notify park staff to relocate snake to a different area for its safety and for those working in the area.
2. There are no threatened and endangered species known to inhabit the area.
3. Mountain lion and black bear are present in the park, it is unlikely to encounter them within the construction site. ELMA 306704 01 11 00 - 3
5. There are currently no indications of long-term roosting of bats in the construction area.
Occasionally, it has been observed that a small number of Tadarida Brasiliensis (Mexican free-tailed bats) have over-nighted in the area. If this occurs, an effort to avoid disturbing these bats is desirable; however, any disturbance will have only short-term impact as the bats will relocate to other caves in close proximity. In the unlikely event that extremely large ears are observed on the bats, park staff shall be contacted immediately to identify species and determine a mitigation strategy.

2. Schedule deliveries to minimize space and time requirements for storage of materials and equipment on-site.
Construction Camp: Establishment of a camp within park will not be permitted.
Hauling Restrictions: Comply with legal load restrictions in hauling of materials. Load restrictions on park roads are identical to state load restrictions with such additional regulations as may be imposed by the Park Superintendent. Information regarding rules and regulations for vehicular traffic on park roads may be obtained from the Office of the Park Superintendent. A special permit will not relieve Contractor of liability for damage which may result from moving of equipment.
Bridge Restrictions: Identify jurisdictions, load restrictions, permit requirements, time and calendar restrictions as outlined.
1.5 PUBLIC USE OF SITE
The El Calderon Trail and Trailhead parking from the trailhead to Xenolith Cave will be closed to the public during construction.

The sum of costs for all activities must equal the total Contract Sum, unless otherwise approved by the Contracting Officer.
C. Critical Path Method (CPM): Method of planning and scheduling a construction project where activities are arranged based on activity relationships. Network calculations determine when activities can be performed and the critical path of Project.
D. Critical Path: Longest connected chain of interdependent activities through the network schedule that establishes minimum overall Project duration and contains no float.
E. Float: Measure of leeway in starting and completing an activity.
1. Float: Not for the exclusive use or benefit of the Government or Contractor but is jointly owned.
2. Free Float: Amount of time an activity can be delayed without adversely affecting the early start of the successor activity.
