Prevailing Wage Determination - Colorado

This document is a General Decision (Wage Determination CO20260002, dated 01/02/2026) issued by the U.S. Department of Labor establishing prevailing wage rates for heavy construction projects across multiple Colorado counties. The determination supersedes previous decision CO20250002 and applies to Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, El Paso, Jefferson, Larimer, Mesa, Pueblo, and Weld counties. The rates are organized by trade classification and include base hourly wage rates plus fringe benefit percentages. Representative classifications and rates include: Asbestos Workers/Insulators at $36.98 base with 16.82% fringes; Bricklayers at $42.37 with 12.86% fringes; Electricians ranging from $31.75 to $46.80 depending on location; Line Construction workers at $27.39–$61.46 with varying fringe percentages; Plumbers and Pipefitters at $41.32–$50.68 with 16.01–20.15% fringes; Sheet Metal Workers at $43.05 with 22.65% fringes; and Power Equipment Operators with rates from $34.05 to $38.63 and consistent 15.20% fringes. Publication date is 01/02/2026, with modifications effective from 05/01/2024 onward.

The determination applies to all federal construction contracts awarded on or after January 1, 2017, per Executive Order 13706 (Paid Sick Leave) and Executive Order 13658 (Minimum Wage for Federal Contractors). Wage rates are subject to annual adjustments to reflect current union collective bargaining agreements. The document includes guidance on wage determination appeals, union rate identifiers, survey rate identifiers, and state-adopted rate identifiers, with instructions for contacting the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division for inquiries, appeals, or reconsideration requests. Unlisted classifications may be added after award based on labor standards contract clauses per 29 CFR 5.5(a)(1)(iii).
