About this file
This Award Information file relates to multiple state and local contract opportunities in Georgia, including projects with the City of Winder, City of Auburn, City of Kennesaw, and Baconton Community Charter School. The primary focus is on the Rose Hill Cemetery Master Plan implementation, for which the City of Winder requested engineering design and construction management services with proposals due December 15, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. EST. The project encompasses phased improvements to the 26-acre historic cemetery established in 1841, including restoration of historic gravestones and walls, development of visitor amenities (chapel, visitor center), infrastructure upgrades (trails, parking, stormwater management), security and lighting enhancements, wayfinding systems, and new interment options (columbaria and scattering garden). Additional projects include design-build services for a Courts Complex in Auburn (4 lighted tennis courts, up to 8 lighted pickleball courts, restroom/concessions building, and parking/infrastructure with submission deadline June 27, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. EDT), a Public Works second floor buildout for Kennesaw with a submission deadline of November 7, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. and mandatory prebid meeting on October 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., and warehouse racking system bids for Baconton Community Charter School for a 75' by 50' warehouse with 18' average height.
The Rose Hill Cemetery project requires Georgia-licensed firms with demonstrated experience in historic cemetery preservation, cultural landscape management, and municipal clients with at least three references. All work must comply with the Secretary of Interior Standards for Historic Properties and Guidelines for the Treatment of Cultural Landscapes. The City plans to interview up to three qualified firms and may require presentations to City Council. Submissions require two hard copies and one soft copy on USB drive directed to Beth Reynolds. Written questions for the Rose Hill Cemetery project were due November 11, 2022, with Addendum 1 clarifying submission format requirements. Specific budget allocations were to be determined by the City in coordination with the selected firm. Ground Penetrating Radar services are required as part of project work. For the other projects, the City of Auburn designated Jeff Prine (jprine@ascension-pm.com) to receive written inquiries by June 17, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. EDT, and Kennesaw required contractors to obtain general conditions, specifications, and contract documents from the City Clerk's Office prior to submission, with payment made monthly based on estimated work completed. Baconton Community Charter School offered site inspections by appointment Tuesday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
