About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, Wage and Hour Division, for Washington County of Yakima, Washington. The document (Wage Determination No. 2015-5543, Revision 26, dated July 8, 2025) establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits applicable to federal service contracts in the specified geographic area.

The wage determination applies different minimum wage requirements based on contract award timing. For contracts entered into or renewed on or after January 30, 2022, Executive Order 14026 applies, requiring contractors to pay covered workers at least $17.75 per hour (or the applicable wage rate listed if higher). For contracts awarded between January 1, 2015, and January 29, 2022, that are not renewed or extended after January 30, 2022, Executive Order 13658 applies, requiring a minimum of $13.30 per hour (or the applicable wage rate if higher). The document lists approximately 200 occupation codes and titles with corresponding hourly wage rates ranging from $14.74 to $59.57, organized by occupational category including administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information technology, instructional occupations, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, technical occupations, and transportation. All occupations receive fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly) or $222.00 weekly/$962.00 monthly, with an alternate rate of $5.09 per hour under Executive Order 13706 for certain contracts. Additional requirements include two weeks paid vacation after one year of service (increasing to five weeks after 20 years), a minimum of eleven paid holidays annually, and uniform allowances where required. Several occupations marked with asterisks may qualify for higher minimum wages under Executive Orders 14026 or 13658, and hazardous pay differentials of 4-8 percent apply to specific positions involving ordnance, explosives, or incendiary materials.
