About this file

This attachments file supports the Penn Manor Large Valve Vault Replacement contract opportunity for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) in Prince George's County, Maryland. The project involves replacing a 24-inch large valve vault and approximately 101 feet of 24-inch water main, relocating approximately 51 feet of 24-inch water main and approximately 54 feet of water house connections on Penn Manor Lane in Bowie. The Water and/or Sewerage Construction Permit (No. 22-11-1124) was issued on December 16, 2025, with an expiration date of December 16, 2028, authorizing construction in accordance with drawings numbered 1 through 6 and specifications. Sealed responses were due via WSSC's eProcurement Portal prior to 2:00 pm on Monday, November 16, 2026.

The attachments include supporting technical documents comprising soil boring logs, pavement core summaries, trench details for paved areas, valve location cards, and test pit results. Soil boring data indicates subsurface conditions including asphalt and concrete pavement layers overlying fill materials and native soils at varying depths and elevations. Pavement cores documented 3.0 inches of asphalt concrete and 3.5 inches of Portland cement concrete at the site location (16101 Penn Manor Lane, Bowie, Maryland). The Roadside Tree Care Maintenance Authorization (RTPA No. 2026-0127) permits pruning of two Norway Maple trees (one 18-inch diameter private tree and one 12-inch diameter public tree) to protect them during construction, with work performed by licensed tree care experts in compliance with Maryland Department of Natural Resources standards. All work must comply with WSSC standard details and specifications, with pavement restoration following Prince George's County Standard Detail STD. 300.18 or applicable jurisdictional requirements.
