About this file
This document contains the draft schematic design floor plans for the rehabilitation of the interior of the A.G. Gaston Motel as part of a federal contract opportunity.
The plans depict the proposed work for the basement, first, and second floors, including details such as the reconfiguration of office and exhibit spaces, restoration of historically significant rooms like the "War Room Suite", reconstruction of the exterior walkway, and various building repairs and upgrades. Key scope items include installing new columns and beams, repairing damaged concrete and CMU walls, adding insulation and drywall, and replacing doors to meet ABA compliance. The plans also include building elevations and sections showing the extent of the proposed work. This document is intended to support the HAFC BICR HISTORIC FURNISHINGS REPORT solicitation issued by the Department of the Interior National Park Service.
