About this file
This document is a photo attachment for the Fountain Creek Nature Center ADA Improvement Project for El Paso County Parks and Recreation Department in Colorado. The images depict six different views of the current site, illustrating planned improvements including replacing the existing ramp with an ADA-compliant version, constructing a new concrete pad, relocating a shed, and addressing secondary access and entryway flooding. The project scope involves installing new storm inlets and pipes, replacing curbs and gutters, and ensuring all modifications meet ADA standards. The work is scheduled to be completed between May 20, 2024, and August 1, 2024.
The photo documentation provides visual evidence of the current site conditions, showing the existing ADA parking area, a storage shed, current ramp configuration, and entryway areas that require improvements. The images highlight the need for accessibility upgrades, particularly focusing on creating compliant ramps with proper landings and handrails. The project appears to be part of a broader effort to enhance accessibility at the Fountain Creek Nature Center, which was established in 1992 and features indoor exhibits about the natural environment around Fountain Creek.
