About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for Request for Proposals (RFP) #24-033 issued by El Paso County's Contracts and Procurement Division for the Fountain Creek Nature Center ADA project. The addendum extends the project completion date from August 1, 2024, to September 1, 2024, and adds a line item for traffic control to the bid form. The County will only accept electronic bid proposals through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing system, with a requirement that vendors ensure their full response is uploaded prior to the specified due date and time. Contractors are expected to order and install basins, use the parking lot as a staging area, and follow specific guidelines for project execution, including temporary shed relocation and concrete work.
The addendum provides clarifications on various project details, including that the contractor will handle concrete washout, the County will manage public communications, and no landscaping work is required. Contractors must submit a comprehensive proposal including a cover sheet, addendum acknowledgment, required documentation, evaluation criteria, submission form, completed W9, and proof of SAM.gov eligibility. Failure to include any of the specified documentation may result in the submittal being returned as non-responsive. The project involves constructing an ADA-compliant ramp at the Fountain Creek Nature Center, with specific technical requirements such as drilling concrete and installing anchor bolts for handrails.
