About this file
This is a Visit Authorization Request (VAR) guidance document for NCTAMS LANT facility visits, updated April 4, 2024.
The document establishes procedures for submitting clearance information and obtaining visit authorization to the facility. Visitors must submit clearance information via DISS to SMO# 702725, including the Technical POC (BCO Manager), visit purpose, and location. If DISS submission is not available, a VAR on company letterhead signed by the Facility Security Officer is required. The VAR must contain specific visitor information including full name, DBIDS card number, date and place of birth, citizenship/nationality, and clearance data (clearance level, granting agency, and date granted). Additional required information includes the visitor's personnel security investigation type and tier level, access level required, agency/company clearance data with CAGE code, the security officer's contact information, and the government sponsor's (COR) full name, phone number, and email address with required endorsement signature and date. For non-U.S. citizens or foreign persons, additional documentation is mandatory, including citizenship country, dual citizenship information if applicable, ID type (Resident Alien Card, Permanent Resident Card, Passport, or Foreign Driver's License), passport or card number, expiration date, and issuing country. The guidance defines "Foreign Person" and "Foreign National" classifications to clarify documentation requirements for international visitors.
