About this file

This document is a California Civil Rights Laws Certification form required for state contracts exceeding $100,000 executed or renewed after January 1, 2017. The certification mandates that bidders or proposers comply with two key civil rights laws: the Unruh Civil Rights Act and the Fair Employment and Housing Act. Contractors must certify that they do not have internal policies discriminating against sovereign nations or peoples recognized by the United States government.

The certification requires an authorized representative to sign under penalty of perjury, affirming the accuracy of the statements. The form provides space for the bidder/proposer's firm name, federal ID number, authorized signature, printed name and title of the signing official, date of execution, and the county and state where the document is signed. This certification is a mandatory compliance document for state contractors, ensuring non-discriminatory practices in business operations and employment policies.
