About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a window treatment replacement project for the Library of Congress James Madison Building. The project requires replacing existing office sheers, tracks, and hardware with new floor-to-ceiling drapes that are inherently fire retardant and meet NFPA 701 standards. Specific requirements include using Integra Rosen White sheer fabric or an equivalent, with 300% fullness, 3-finger pinch pleat header, and a contemporary stripe design. The drapery hardware will be Kirsch Drapery Hardware Architrac Series 94003, with heavy-duty ball bearing carriers and a two-way draw capability.
The contractor must provide site measurements, delivery, labor, hardware, and installation services, with work to be completed after hours at the Library of Congress, 101 Independence Ave SE, Washington, D.C. 20540. The project has a 60-day performance period, and the contractor will be responsible for dismantling existing window treatments, installing new treatments, and ensuring a clean work area. The contractor must coordinate closely with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), attend a kick-off meeting, and complete a walk-through within 72 hours of installation to generate a punch list of any remaining items.
