About this file
This is an ethics code attachment for public contracting that establishes ethical standards and requirements for a court's procurement activities.
The document mandates that all employees and persons conducting business with the court must adhere to prescribed ethical standards, with the Executive Officer responsible for disseminating these requirements to all court personnel and contractors involved in procurement. Section B prohibits court employees from participating in any procurement when the employee or their immediate family members have a financial interest in the matter; employees with actual or potential conflicts of interest must be disqualified from the procurement. Section C prohibits offering, giving, or agreeing to give gratuities, employment offers, or anything of value to court employees or former employees in connection with any procurement decision or action. Section D extends this prohibition to payments, gratuities, or employment offers made by or on behalf of subcontractors to prime contractors or higher-tier subcontractors as inducement for contract awards. Section E prohibits employees, former employees, and other persons from knowingly using confidential procurement information for personal gain, and specifically bars court employees and officers from serving on boards or governing bodies of contractors with current contractual relationships with the court where those individuals have management or letting responsibilities for such contracts. The document requires signature by an authorized company representative.
