Out-of-Service API 653 Tank Inspection and Repair

Contract No. W9128F-16-D-0028 Fort Campbell, KY

Tank A6624 was inspected 20 September 2019. The API 653 Repair Inspection was performed by Darrin Laughlin. This tank report is an Appendix to the original API 653 tank report.

On this date 20 September 2019, the tank is in suitable condition for return to service.

Mandatory Repairs

No mandatory repairs were required.

Inspection Intervals

The next In-Service Inspection should occur in 5 years (September 2024) and the next In-Service Inspection with UT thickness measurements should occur in 13 years (June 2032) in accordance with API 653.

The next Out-of-Service inspection should occur in 20 years (September 2029).

This storage tank suitability for service evaluation has been completed in accordance with the requirements of API Standard 653, 5th Edition, Addendum 1, April 2018.

APPENDIX A: ENGINEERING DRAWINGS

Bottom Thickness The tank bottom is constructed of 9, 1/4”-thick, carbon steel plates, assumed to be A283-C. An MFL scan on the tank bottom revealed no areas of product-side or soil-side corrosion.

Bottom Critical Zone Thickness An MFL scan performed in the critical zone revealed no areas of product-side or soil-side corrosion.
