About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a task order under a broader Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for shredding and destruction services for the United States Copyright Office (USCO). The SOW outlines the requirement for the vendor to conduct secure on-site destruction of sensitive paper and non-paper media materials at the USCO warehouse in Landover, Maryland. This includes up to 10 pallets of materials, 45 boxes per pallet, which will be staged on the loading dock for the vendor to load and transport for destruction. A certificate of destruction must be provided within 24-48 hours. The destruction services are to be provided on a quarterly basis, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) will witness the destruction. The vendor must maintain current NAID certification, and provide reporting with details on the destruction.
The related federal contract opportunity is for a broader IDIQ contract for "Shredding and Destruction Services", issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) on an unrestricted basis by the Library of Congress. The IDIQ will establish contracts for commercial shredding and destruction services.

United States Copyright Office Statement of Work Shredding Task Order
C.1: BACKGROUND
The U.S. Copyright Office, "USCO" or "Office," administers the Nation's copyright laws and provides expert advice and guidance to Congress, Executive Branch Agencies, and the courts on matters of copyright law and policy. The Office of Copyright Records (OCR) is responsible for preserving, maintaining, and servicing copyright-related records in physical and digital formats. The Office of Copyright Records receives reviews, executes, and maintains records and deposits about copyright, including records that establish and transfer copyright ownership, included in the world's largest database of records of copyright ownership.
