About this file

This document is Attachment III for Tire Retread services issued by the City of Edinburg's Solid Waste Management Department in Texas. The attachment specifies detailed requirements for tire retread services, focusing on specific tire sizes (11R22.5 and 315/80R22.5) with precise tread depth specifications. The retread services mandate the use of specific mold treads from Michelin XDY or Bandag BDM, designed for mixed service use including refuse and construction industries, with requirements for chip/cut resistance and enhanced traction.

The specification requires bidders to meet exact technical standards, with a strict requirement that any exceptions must be pre-approved by the City and accompanied by an exemption letter. The document emphasizes that blank line items or failure to meet specifications may result in bid rejection. While the attachment does not specify contract duration, pricing, or total quantities, it provides highly specific technical requirements for tire retread services, indicating a technical procurement process focused on precise performance and quality standards for municipal vehicle tire maintenance.
