About this file

This document is a comprehensive Glossary of Terms for a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the State of Colorado, specifically the Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT), for a Broadband Telecommunication Reseller and Provider Management services contract. The glossary provides detailed definitions for over 70 technical, procurement, and telecommunications-related terms that will be used throughout the RFP documentation, ranging from "Acceptance Criteria" to "Work Product". These definitions establish a clear, standardized language for understanding the scope, responsibilities, and technical specifications of the proposed telecommunications services contract.

Key terms defined include technical concepts like "SDWAN" (Software-Defined Wide Area Network), "SASE" (Secure Access Service Edge), and "Rural Connectivity", as well as procurement and contract management terms such as "Milestone-Based Assessment", "Service Level Agreement (SLA)", and "Transition Assistance". The glossary supports the State of Colorado's objective of procuring comprehensive broadband telecommunications services, with a focus on last-mile connectivity, provider management, service optimization, and ensuring robust, redundant, and cost-effective telecommunications infrastructure for state agencies and potentially other political subdivisions.
