This facility is designated as the primary location where contractors will transport and unload approximately 3,300 recovered tires and associated marine debris collected from five artificial reef areas across Pinellas County, including the Clearwater Artificial Reef area (320 acres), Rube Allyn Reef Area (220 acres), St. Pete Beach Artificial Reef area (60 acres), Treasure Island Artificial Reef area (85 acres), and Madeira Beach Artificial Reef area (85 acres), into County-provided containers for processing and disposal.

Attachment C – Pinellas County Artificial Reef Program Staging Area

Location

The Pinellas County Artificial Reef Program Staging area is located within Sand Key Park, 1060 Gulf Blvd. Clearwater, Fl. 33708. The staging area is accessible by water via Clearwater Pass and is equipped with a commercial mooring dock.

Attributes

The mooring dock is approximately 180 feet long. The depth of water at the mooring dock is approximately 5 to 6 feet at MLLW. The staging area is equipped with an asphalt pad measuring approximately 150 feet by 150 feet. There is no water or power hookup available at the staging area.
