About this file
Attachment C is a detailed demonstration outline for a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Modernization services procurement. The document provides an extensive, structured guide for vendors to demonstrate the capabilities of their proposed LIMS solution, covering comprehensive workflow processes from customer request submission through case management, evidence tracking, data file management, electronic datasheets, document building, and data mining functionalities. The outline requires vendors to showcase specific features across multiple operational areas, including customer request handling, laboratory case management, chain of custody tracking, casework workflow for managers and staff, file management, electronic worksheets, document creation, and reporting capabilities.
The related federal contract opportunity is a 100% small business set-aside solicitation issued by the Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, with an estimated performance period from 11/17/2025 through 11/16/2030. The procurement is for LIMS Modernization services, classified under NAICS code 513210, and will be awarded through a Request for Quote (RFQ) with solicitation number 15A00025Q00000095. The requirement seeks a comprehensive laboratory information management system solution that can streamline complex forensic laboratory operational processes, with vendors expected to provide a detailed demonstration of system capabilities matching the extensive outline in Attachment C.
