About this file

This is a Statewide Natural Areas Management Work Order issued by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). The document serves as a task order mechanism for vendors operating under the Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract to accept or decline specific work assignments. The work order establishes the framework for project-specific details and requires vendor response within seven days of receipt.

The work order covers hand work in sensitive sites within designated work zones and requires vendors to provide hourly rates established under their existing contract agreement. Compensation is calculated by multiplying the vendor's contracted hourly rate by the number of hours allocated for each specific work order. All work must conform to Section 1, Description of Supplies and Services, of the signed Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract, and vendor onsite staff must meet experience requirements specified in the contract. Work details must include specifications such as herbicide type and application rates, application methods, required mortality rates, stump heights, treatment timing, vegetation species to be treated, and species to be protected. The project timeline includes defined start and end dates, with a maximum project cost established by IDNR prior to vendor acceptance. If a vendor declines a work order, IDNR offers it to the next lowest bidder, and reserves the right to solicit bids from other vendors if no contract vendors accept the assignment.
