This is a Product Specifications document for Milk and Dairy Products issued by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition Program. The specification establishes comprehensive requirements for vendors supplying milk and dairy products to participating school sites. Products must be Grade A pasteurized dairy items produced and processed in USDA-inspected facilities, meeting all FDA standards and the Grade A Pasteurized Milk Ordinance requirements. Vendors must deliver products 1-2 times per week directly to individual school sites in refrigerated trucks maintaining temperatures between 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit, with a minimum shelf life of 10-14 days upon delivery. All products must comply with USDA Child Nutrition Program requirements and be produced under HACCP food safety standards, with damaged or spoiled items replaced at no cost to the schools.

The specification requires all packaging to be leak-proof and tamper-resistant with clear labeling including product name, nutritional information, production date, sell-by date, and plant number. Vendors must provide delivery tickets documenting school name, products delivered, quantities, and delivery dates. All milk and dairy products must comply with the USDA Buy American Provision, requiring domestic production and processing unless exceptions are formally approved. No product substitutions are permitted without prior written approval from the School Nutrition Director. The document does not specify pricing terms, contract amounts, award dates, or contract duration in the provided content.
