NOTES:
1. ALL TIE-DOWNS ARE NEAR AND FAR. AS A MINIMUM, USE 1/2 INCH GRADE 7 TIE-DOWN CHAIN, OR OTHER SUITABLE GEAR WITH A MINIMUM CAPACITY OF 11,300 LBS. THIS SKETCH UTILIZES 11
SEPARATE TIE-DOWN CHAINS.
2. PLACE WOOD BLOCKING FORWARD OF THE CONTAINER, BETWEEN THE CONTAINER AND THE
STRUCTURE OF THE TRUCK FOR ADDITIONAL FORWARD SECUREMENT.
3. USE BLOCKING AND CHAFING GEAR AS NECESSARY.
4. PLACE THREE 2� X 12� X 10FT. WOOD BOARDS ON THE TRAILER TO ACCOUNT FOR CURVATURE OF THE TRAILER. CUT LENGTH TO SUIT. PLACE ONE BOARD UNDER EACH END OF THE SHIPPING
CONTAINER AND ONE BOARD UNDER THE CENTER OF THE SHIPPING CONTAINER. ENSURE
FRICTION MAT IS USED. SEE NOTE 5.
5. 0.8 RATED FRICTION MAT SHALL BE PLACED UNDER AND ON TOP OF EACH 2� X 12� X 10FT WOOD
BOARDS.
6. MAXIMUM LOADED WEIGHT IS 120,000 LBS.
7. ADDITIONAL TIE-DOWNS MAY BE USED. FINAL TIE-DOWN CONFIGURATION IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE HAULER OR CODE 2380.9 SHIPPER AS LONG AS IT MEETS THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
OF THE ABOVE ILLUSTRATION.
8. FINAL CONTAINER ORIENTATION IS AS DEPICTED ABOVE. ENSURE CONTAINER IS SECURED IN
ALL DIRECTIONS AS DEPICTED IN ABOVE ILLUSTRATION.
9. TIE-DOWN �C� MAY BE SUBSTITUTED WITH QTY (2) MIN 5,400 LBS CAPACITY NYLON STRAPS WITH
C2380.9 APPROVAL.
10. NNSY SHALL PROVIDE THE TIMBERS, FRICTION MAT, AND CRIBBING.
