Scope of Work Summary
This is a Scope of Work document for custodial and janitorial services issued by the Nevada Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol Division for two substations: Fernley Substation (approximately 1,920 usable square feet) located at 770 W. Main Street, Fernley, NV 89408, and USA Parkway Substation (approximately 393 usable square feet) located at 1705 Peru Drive, Sparks, NV 89434. The contractor must provide routine cleaning services twice weekly, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with discretionary Saturday or Sunday work available in lieu of weekdays. Services include vacuuming with HEPA filtration systems, trash removal, restroom cleaning and restocking, dusting, spot cleaning, exterior glass door cleaning, smoking area maintenance, and floor care. Monthly tasks include blind and wall hanging dusting; quarterly tasks include base cove cleaning, interior door cleaning, light fixture cleaning, ceiling vent cleaning, and high-area dusting. Semi-annual procedures require window washing inside and out, carpet steam cleaning using hot water extraction, and hard surface floor stripping and waxing. Client references from at least two current or past clients must be submitted no later than December 2, 2026, and vendors are required to sign the Scope of Work to acknowledge agreement with all specified requirements.
All cleaning supplies and materials must be provided by the contractor, including trash liners, HEPA filters, light bulbs, bathroom tissue, hand soap, disinfectants, sanitizers, and other specialty chemicals. Contractors must be insured and licensed to do business in Nevada, pass a Department of Public Safety background check and fingerprinting at their own expense, and furnish a list of all proposed employees to the Nevada Highway Patrol District Commander with prior notification of any employee changes. Strict security requirements prohibit use of state equipment or employee property, limit state telephone use to emergencies or alarm system calls, and mandate that all exterior doors remain locked with keys protected and returned upon termination. Chemical sensitivity restrictions prohibit bleach and bleach-containing products, and strong aroma cleaners or air fresheners. A scheduled remodel of the USA Parkway Substation from December 25, 2026, through early September 2027, will eliminate janitorial service requirements at that location during that period. No pricing information, set-asides, incumbent contractor details, or contract term length is specified in this Scope of Work document.
