About this file
This is a Scope of Work attachment for a statewide grounds maintenance contract with the South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDPS) covering all field locations throughout the state. The contract requires comprehensive landscaping and grounds maintenance services organized into three seasonal periods: April 1–October 31, November 1–January 31, and February 1–March 31. Primary services include weekly debris removal from turf areas, beds, fenced vehicle storage areas, fence lines, ditches, retention pond edges, and parking lot islands, along with mowing, trimming, and blowing of grass clippings and debris from parking lots, sidewalks, and building entrances. The contract specifies bi-weekly edging along turf and sidewalk contact zones and curbs during cooler months, along with as-needed mowing and trimming checks, while warmer months require monthly hedge and ornamental tree trimming to maintain appearance and prevent contact with buildings. All services must be completed to the inspection and approval standards of the assigned Field Facility Manager at each facility.
All mowing and turf trimming operations must be executed consistently at a uniform height appropriate to the turf type to prevent scalping, with sidewalks, parking lots, and building entrances cleared of clippings following each operation. The document does not specify pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent contractor information, contract term length, renewal options, or funding sources, as it contains only the detailed service schedule and performance requirements for the grounds maintenance work to be delivered across SCDPS field locations.
