About this file
This document is a Cost Sheet (Attachment A) for a beverage vending contract for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), covering six correctional facilities across Nebraska. The contract involves supplying token vending machines and a comprehensive range of soft drinks, including brand-name sodas from manufacturers like Pepsi, Coke, RC Cola, and others. The facilities include Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP), Reception & Treatment Center (RTC), Omaha Correctional Center (OCC), Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility (NCYF), Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW), and Tecumseh State Correctional Institute (TSCI). The solicitation requires vendors to specify which locations they will service, with varying machine requirements: 13 machines at NSP, 14 at RTC, 9 at OCC, 3 at NCYF, 7 at NCCW, and 13 at TSCI.
The cost sheet details a comprehensive pricing structure with two primary components: a core list of 40 specific soda types and flavors, and a catalog/non-core list requiring vendors to submit a percentage discount for additional beverages. Vendors must provide a bid price per case, with a case defined as 24 twelve-ounce aluminum cans. The document allows bidders to specify their brand offerings for each line item and requires submission of catalogs and price lists demonstrating regular retail prices, proposed discount percentages, and final discounted prices. The solicitation seeks competitive pricing across a wide variety of beverage types, including regular and diet sodas, fruit-flavored drinks, citrus sodas, energy drinks, and sparkling waters, with the expectation of serving multiple correctional facilities across Nebraska.

Comment:
Not usefull to use the same estimated quantity for each type of pop, because this number is also meant to inform the bidder on expected order quantity. I don’t know that we can do an extended/total price evaluation on this.
Reply:
| The best information we could provide prospective bidders is maybe a 2024 order total for each soda type (if available). Otherwise, I think we stick to just letting vendors know what the estimated case order usage is for each location. | 8 | Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke, Diet RC Cola |
