Asbestos Survey Report Introduction
Scope of the Investigation
This report documents the asbestos inspection and survey of Building M-6205, located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina conducted on June 7th, 2016, by Solomon Locklear, NC asbestos inspector license number: NC12601.
Background
Building M-6205 is a single story structure that was used on Ft. Bragg as a chapel. The chapel has an estimated construction date of 1941 with a square footage of 3,710 square feet. The exterior of the building is constructed out of wood siding with the roof system of the building constructed in an “A” roof shape that is covered with a layer of asphalt roof shingles and roof felt. The interior of the building is constructed out of wood, drywall and an acoustical fiberboard material. The flooring system of the building is constructed out of wood joist that also has a layer of plywood and hardwood throughout the chapel. The HVAC system is located in the exterior of the mechanical room. The mechanical room has drywall/joint compound and concrete present throughout. The original HVAC system has been replaced with a newer system, but some of the original piping is still present in the chapel.
Conclusions
Asbestos was not detected in the following materials:

Limitations
As is the case with any asbestos inspection, materials that were not readily apparent or were located in concealed locations may not have been identified. If any material that is suspected to contain asbestos, and was not included in this report as a material identified and tested, is discovered, it should be evaluated for asbestos content before it is disturbed.
This report is not intended for use as an asbestos removal specification. It is not within the scope of this work to describe all appropriate precautions, safeguards and regulations relating to asbestos.
