About this file

This document outlines the Defense Logistics Agency's new item request process for contractors through the Standard Automated Material Management System (STORES). The process centralizes all item creation requests and provides visibility to customers, vendors, and DLA at each step. Requests can be in a saved, submitted, in process, rejected with recourse, or final approval status. Vendors will receive periodic online updates on request statuses through STORES and email notifications. Vendors can now view and edit item requests originating from customers, and submit manual requests for catalog item changes. The document reviews vendor access to item requests in STORES, completion of required fields, association of existing stock numbers, addition of pricing and documents, comparison of initial customer requests to vendor submissions, and status checking through the comment log as requests move through the approval process.

This federal contract opportunity is a solicitation to provide full-line food and beverage distribution services for Kansas and Missouri zones and surrounding areas. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support will award an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for a 60-month period consisting of two performance tiers - 36 months for the first tier and 24 months for the second. The estimated contract value is $171 million with a guaranteed minimum of $17.1 million. The maximum contract value is 175% of the estimate at $299.25 million, inclusive of tiered pricing, surge capacity, and performance periods.
