About this file

This is a bulk sample analysis report for asbestos testing conducted by Mountain Laboratories for the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center's Café & Kitchen Floors project. The analysis was performed for customer Chris Warner using test methods 40 CFR Part 763, Subpart E, Appendix E and EPA/600/R-93/116 (Customer #1123).

Six samples were analyzed on February 20, 2026, by Sydney Jeske: two floor tile samples (1A, 1B), two floor grout samples (2A, 2B), and two terrazzo samples (3A, 3B). All samples tested negative for asbestos presence, with no detectable asbestos types or percentages identified across any specimen. The floor tile samples exhibited layered compositions with tan/black coloring containing 100% other non-fibrous material in the tile layer and quartz (60%) and other materials (40%) in black layers. The floor grout samples and terrazzo samples were homogeneous, with grout samples containing quartz (60%) and other materials (40%), and terrazzo samples containing quartz (15%) and other materials (85%). Mountain Laboratories notes that negative or less than 1% PLM results should be confirmed with SEM or TEM testing, and that sample results cannot be used to claim product certification, approval, or endorsement by NVLAP, NIST, or any federal government agency.
