About this file
This is a Contractor Questions and Answers document for federal contract 668-25-105, which concerns the replacement of grease traps at two kitchen facilities. The document addresses eight contractor inquiries with corresponding answers regarding the scope of work outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
The document provides specific dimensional measurements for five grease traps requiring replacement: Grease Trap #1 at the Canteen Kitchen measures 24.5 inches length by 16.5 inches width; Grease Trap #2 at the Dietetics Kitchen measures 26 inches length by 23 inches width with a measured depth of 16 inches at the low end; Grease Trap #3 measures 23 inches length by 26 inches width; Grease Trap #4 measures 23 inches length by 16 inches width; and Grease Trap #5 measures 23 inches length by 16 inches width. Extension depths could not be determined for most units due to grease buildup. Additional answers clarify that replacement grease traps will connect to existing piping as-is without requiring underfloor re-piping for drain, waste, and vent systems per SOW paragraph 2.1; asbestos-containing materials testing of surrounding floor materials revealed no ACM; and equipment displacement during work does not require daily restoration but must be coordinated and minimized in impact.
