About this file
This is a product specification document for the Thermo Top Evo, a next-generation engine-off coolant heater manufactured by Webasto Thermo & Comfort North America, Inc. The document outlines the features, technical specifications, and available kit configurations for this diesel-fueled heating system. The product is designed to provide engine pre-heating, reduce fuel consumption, and improve diesel particulate filter (DPF) performance. Key improvements over previous models include more flexible installation options with rotatable coolant connections, extended fuel line length, higher maximum combustion air temperature ratings, universal controller harness compatibility, multiple mounting bracket options, blink code diagnostics, and reduced operational noise. The standard kit includes an integrated control unit, on/off switch, fuel metering pump, fuel lines and filter, exhaust and combustion air tubing, wiring harness with fuse holder, and an operation and installation manual backed by a two-year/2000-hour limited warranty.
The Thermo Top Evo operates on 12-volt nominal voltage with an operating range of 10 to 16.5 volts and consumes 41 watts during normal operation and 14 amps during startup. The heating capacity ranges from 2.5 to 5.0 kilowatts (8,600 to 17,200 BTU/h) and operates on diesel or arctic diesel fuel. The unit measures 8.54 by 3.58 by 5.79 inches and weighs 4.6 pounds without the coolant pump. Three standard kit configurations are available: the Diesel Kit with SmarTemp Control fx 2.0 (Part Number 5013379A), the basic Diesel Kit (Part Number 5013378A), and the Diesel Kit with enclosure (Part Number 5013389A). The optional SmarTemp Control fx 2.0 (Part Number 5010633C) features programmable runtimes, adjustable low-voltage disconnect, ergonomic design, and a large backlit LCD screen.
