About this file
This is a Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Acknowledgment Memorandum issued by the 14th Contracting Squadron at Columbus Air Force Base on 3 July 2024.
The memorandum establishes mandatory CUI safeguarding procedures that apply to all contractors and subcontractors at any tier working with Columbus Air Force Base. All contractors with access to CUI materials must complete Department of Defense mandatory CUI training from MyLearning before accessing CUI or within 30 days of assignment to the base. For civilians unable to access MyLearning, training will be attached to solicitation postings on Government Point of Entry systems. Contractors must sign and return this acknowledgment memorandum prior to receiving any contract or contract material classified as CUI, serving as confirmation of completed training. Any improper CUI disclosure must be reported to the Contracting Officer within 72 hours. Violations are subject to recourse determined by the 14th Contracting Squadron Commander and the CAFB Wing Information Protection Officer, including mandatory retraining, debarment from base access, or contract termination. The memorandum references FAR 4.19, FAR Clause 52.204-2, and Executive Order 13556 regarding safeguarding of covered contractor information systems.
