About this file
This is a Wage Determination document issued by the U.S. Department of Labor under the Service Contract Act for Michigan counties of Kent and Ottawa (Wage Determination No. 2015-4847, Revision 31, effective December 3, 2025). The document establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits that must be paid to employees performing work on federal service contracts in this geographic area.
The wage determination lists prevailing hourly rates for 99 occupational classifications across multiple service categories, including administrative support and clerical occupations ($17.27–$31.32 hourly), automotive service occupations ($19.31–$24.42 hourly), food preparation and service ($14.16–$20.14 hourly), health occupations ($13.26–$46.71 hourly), information technology occupations ($19.07–$29.26 hourly), mechanics and maintenance ($18.65–$48.82 hourly), protective services ($15.01–$37.24 hourly), and technical occupations ($17.93–$46.07 hourly). All occupations are entitled to fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly) for health and welfare, plus vacation accrual of 2–5 weeks depending on years of service, and 14 paid holidays annually. Special provisions apply to computer employees meeting exempt status requirements, air traffic controllers and weather observers earning night differentials and Sunday premiums, and employees working with hazardous materials receiving 4–8 percent pay differentials. Contractors must furnish uniforms without employee cost and may request conformance determinations for unlisted occupational classifications through Standard Form 1444.
