About this file
This document is a Single Source Justification (Simplified Acquisition) for the ACC/A4 Access Control System (ACS) Update. The Air Force's ACC AMIC/PKAB is seeking to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Delivery Order to update the existing Access Control System in Building 618 on a Genetec brand-name basis. The update involves new compatible ACS equipment, hardware, mechanical door locking, infrastructure, eight-hour runtime battery UPS, and a five-year service plan. The Government will only fund year one of the five-year service plan at contract award.
The justification emphasizes that the current Genetec Advantage Security Center 5.9.3.0 system is essential and requires brand-specific updates. Changing the ACS would necessitate a full system removal and reinstallation, which is not considered reasonable. The A4DX Contracting Activity plans to solicit the requirement as a small business set-aside via SAM.gov, in accordance with FAR Part 13. The Contracting Officer has determined that a single source is reasonably available, and the A4DX RO will continue to monitor the market for potential alternative vendors in future solicitations.
