About this file
This document outlines requirements for an Expeditionary Medical Decontamination Training Course federal contract opportunity with the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command. The objective is to support ACC/SGXT through developing, delivering, validating, and training courses for USAF Expeditionary Medical Decon Team (EMDT) in multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations. The curriculum will cover all training tasks listed in the EMDT Tactical Training Plan and Initial EMDT Course Chart, and is designed to educate Air Force Medical First Receivers on life saving skills required to triage, initiate field treatment, decontaminate and save victims from Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear (CBRN), or Hazardous Materials incidents. The course is based on CDC and OSHA guidelines, and will certify students in all requirements for OSHA's Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) course to the "Operations" level. Students will be introduced to potential contaminants, detection equipment, signs/symptoms of agents, triage of victims, required decontaminants, and effective decontamination of patients.
