About this file

These documents are a series of laboratory analytical reports from SGS North America Inc. for Comprehensive Environmental Inc., documenting environmental sampling and testing at the US Army Natick Soldier Systems Center in Natick, Massachusetts during early 2020. The reports cover multiple sampling events on different dates (February through May 2020) analyzing various materials for potential hazardous substances, including:

  1. PCB (Polychlorinated Biphenyl) testing on multiple caulking and paint samples from different building locations, with all samples testing negative for asbestos and PCBs. 2. Lead analysis on a gray paint sample from the wind tunnel, which revealed a high lead concentration of 108,000 mg/kg. The laboratory conducted extensive quality control testing, including matrix spikes, blank samples, and serial dilutions to verify the accuracy of the lead measurement. All samples were collected from the NSSC Building 02 at the Kansas Street location, with sampling performed by Comprehensive Environmental Inc. and analysis conducted by SGS using EPA-approved methods (SW846 6010D and 8082A).
