About this file

This document is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act (SCA) issued by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, effective December 29, 2015, and replaced on March 15, 2016. It establishes mandatory prevailing wage rates for federal service contracts in California counties including Alpine, Amador, Butte, Colusa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Mendocino, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Yolo, and Yuba.

The wage determination lists over 350 occupation classifications with corresponding hourly rates ranging from $9.76 to $68.50 per hour. All listed occupations receive fringe benefits of $4.27 per hour ($170.80 per week or $740.13 per month), vacation accrual (2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 15 years), and a minimum of ten paid holidays annually. Specialized pay differentials apply: computer professionals earning $27.63 or more per hour are exempt under certain conditions; air traffic controllers and weather observers receive night pay and Sunday premium pay; and hazardous duty positions receive either 8 or 4 percent differentials. Employees required to wear uniforms receive a $3.35 per week uniform maintenance reimbursement. The document includes a conformance process for occupations not listed, requiring contractors to submit SF 1444 forms to the Department of Labor for approval of proposed classifications and wage rates within 30 days of performance commencement.
