About this file
This document is a Supplementary Statement of Work (SOW) detailing the requirements for installing a new communications shelter at the Barlow District Office in Dufur, Oregon. The contractor is responsible for completely removing the existing 90' tower and telecommunications shelter, including demolition, debris disposal at Columbia Ridge Commercial Landfill, and potential asbestos testing. The scope of work includes supplying and installing a new primary wire and messenger cable for the 20A commercial power supply, disconnecting power from the existing shelter, and re-establishing the connection to the new shelter using the same overhead route. The new shelter will be equipped with a weather head connecting to an external power filter box, serving as the entry point for commercial power.
The project requires the contractor to obtain construction bonding and appropriate insurance, with specific instructions to remove the tower steel to grade, backfill with 2" minus aggregate, and ensure no damage occurs to remaining structures or equipment during the demolition process. The contractor will be responsible for any repairs resulting from the removal of the existing infrastructure. The telecommunications circuit component is noted as not applicable, indicating a focused scope of work primarily centered on the physical infrastructure replacement and power connection.
