About this file
This is a Statement of Work for construction upgrades at the VA Saint Louis Health Care System – John Cochran Division in support of the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. The project, identified as 657-21-702JC, involves renovation and infrastructure upgrades on the first floor of Building 2, encompassing training and administrative spaces. The work comprises three phases totaling approximately 5,330 square feet of construction and renovation.
Phase 2 addresses four North Training Rooms (139, 140, 141, 142) at approximately 2,000 square feet, requiring upgraded power and data infrastructure along with new flooring and wall finishes. Phase 3 encompasses three South Training Rooms (126, 127, 128) at approximately 1,800 square feet with similar infrastructure and finish upgrades, plus a 130-square-foot breakroom renovation including new casework, sink, and cold-water tie-in for an ice machine. Phase 4 includes renovation of an approximately 1,400-square-foot corridor with new finishes, upgrades to two offices (approximately 150 square feet each) with infrastructure and finish improvements, and upgrades to an existing data closet with new finishes, an additional server rack installation, and replacement of the existing mini-split HVAC unit. A critical specification change requires all power and data drops to be wall-mounted per revised drawings EP101 and TN101, with no floor-mounted outlets permitted. The contractor must provide all necessary supervision, labor, tools, materials, equipment, and testing while complying with project specifications, VA Technical Information Library standards, local and national codes, Infection Control Risk Assessment requirements, and Interim Life Safety Measures. Project drawings and specifications take precedence over this Statement of Work in case of conflicts.
