About this file
This is a Delivery and Installation Requirements attachment for a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) small business solicitation at Centinela State Prison in Imperial, California. The project involves the delivery, installation, and setup of ten vending machines: nine frozen food vending machines and one cold drink vending machine, distributed across five visiting yard locations (Visiting A through E). The contractor must also remove five existing vending machines from the premises and dispose of them appropriately. All equipment must be delivered, installed, leveled, tested for functionality, and made fully operational within 35 calendar days after receipt of order, with failure to meet this deadline potentially resulting in contract termination for default.
The delivery and installation requirements mandate that contractors employ a truck equipped with a lift-gate, ensure all installers pass CDCR background checks, remove all crating and packaging materials from the site, train facility personnel on machine operations and maintenance procedures, and provide trade-in value or recycling documentation for removed equipment. All vending machines must be newly manufactured units set side by side and banded together at installation. Contractors must remove and return barcodes from existing equipment at the time of invoicing along with recycling receipts, as payment will be withheld if these documents are not provided. The contractor bears full responsibility for coordinating with the BEP Vendor and Facilities for facility access, submitting clearance forms, and obtaining necessary approvals to complete the work.
