-100% OSA

-Hot water heating coil sized to be able to provide 120F air to the flex discharge.

-Electric heating coil/section sized for the temperature listed above.

-Supply fan rated for 3,000 CFM and the appropriate temperatures and pressures.

CCU Requirements (to include but not limited to):

Ductwork requirements (to include but not limited to):

-All ductwork shall be properly supported -All new ductwork and connections shall be sealed to seal class A except those seals that would void product listing or warranty.

-Ductwork adhesives/sealants shall be suitable for the range of air distribution (CFM/FPM/pressures) and temperatures to which is it exposed.

-Ductwork gauge shall be appropriate to the pressures and temperatures it is exposed to. Contractor shall indicate gauges of all ductwork and fittings on ductwork submittal.

-Bends in ductwork shall be gradual where possible. Contractor shall use low pressure drop elbows and fittings per SMACNA guidelines. Bends shall be equipped with turning vanes.

-All new ductwork for CCUs and AHUs shall be insulated with external blanket insulation having a R factor of R-6 or better. All duct insulation shall have a maximum flame spread index of 25 and a maximum smoke developed index of 50. Insulation shall be rated for indoor use, rated for the system temperatures and pressures, and have a vapor retarder barrier facing white in color (minimum 2 mils thick). Insulation shall meet the applicable ASTM (C552/C534) and NFPA 90 (A or B as required).

-Provide two round openings in CCU discharge air duct similar to existing. Openings shall have manual balancing dampers that are adjusted by locking-type quadrant operators. Dampers shall be two gauges heavier than the duct that they are installed in.

-Ductwork installed at the roof truss level (14" round, 18" round, etc.) shall be installed above the trusses where feasible to maximize space. Contractor to discuss ductwork layout with Government PM prior to installing. Ductwork submittal(s) shall be submitted and approved prior to the contractor submitting on the supply fans and motors (all equipment).

-New flex duct shall be static conductive flex air duct. Flex duct shall include attached air duct connector rings in order to be able to connect multiple sections of flex together. Flex duct shall be a non-collapsible diameter design throughout the length of each duct and be rated for fuel tank/confined space ventilation. Discharge flex from CCUs (purge) shall be 8" and exhaust shall be 13". For reference, the NSNs for the flex currently used for this type of maintenance in the primary fuels hangar are: 8"; 4720-01-324-0233 & 13"; 4720-00-930-5974.

-All new ductwork for CCUs and EF-2 and EF-3 shall be grounded. The flex hoses shall have grounding wires similar to the existing running inside the flex from the end of the flex to the connection to hard duct. The grounding wire shall transition from the inside of the flex to the outside of the hard duct at the transition elbow. The duct hole for the ground wire shall have a rubber grommet or similar installed to protect the ground wire from damage. The ground wire duct hole shall be sealed properly to prevent any air leakage or moisture entry. The ground wire running on the outside of the hard duct shall run the length of the duct to the existing grounding points at ground level. The grounding wire shall be properly supported/secured to the duct.
