About this file
This document is a Section C Description and Specifications for a federal contract to replace interior lighting fixtures and controls at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Great Falls, Montana. The project requires a contractor to update all existing lighting systems, with work to be completed within 60 consecutive calendar days between January 1, 2027, and March 31, 2027, with potential flexibility to shift the construction window if the concurrent LCIC Exhibit Updates contract is completed earlier.
The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, and tools necessary to complete the work, ensuring coordination with the Owner's representative for scheduling disruptions to access and utilities. All waste and excess materials must be disposed of off Forest Service lands in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. No pre-bid tour is scheduled, and prospective bidders are expected to visit the site at 4201 Giant Springs Road in Great Falls, Montana, prior to bidding. The project requires careful planning to minimize disruption to the facility, which will remain occupied during construction.
