About this file
This is a specifications and salient characteristics document for a portable ultrasound system required by the Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The equipment must operate in multiple imaging modes including B Mode, M-Mode, Color Doppler, Color Power Doppler, Pulsed Wave, and Continuous Wave, with support for linear, phased, and curved array transducers and comprehensive measurement and calculation packages.
The system specifications establish strict dimensional and operational parameters: the stand dimensions must be 23 inches by 25.4 inches with maximum and minimum heights of 65 inches and 42.2 inches respectively, featuring a 9.8-inch height adjustment capability. The system weight cannot exceed 16.6 pounds without the stand or 85.8 pounds with the stand. The unit requires four 4-inch swivel casters with locking capability, a 10-inch by 5.7-inch projected capacitive touch screen interface supplemented by physical buttons, and a 15.6-inch clinical monitor with minimum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and minimum luminance of 215 candlepower per square meter. Additional specifications include a work surface adjustable to 140 degrees, a monitor angle of 15 degrees from horizontal, a work surface angle of 55 degrees from horizontal, and an operating system running Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC with digital broadband architecture.
